Love seeing an " Older " post revived....

Celtic Stated: " the proof coins do better in sales than the uncirculated, which can counter-intuitively make the UNCs worth more than the proofs. With a mintage of 28,150, this could be a sleeper. "

Interesting observation, While most collectors Enjoy the Proofs, I agree, Unc's are Historiclly Harder to locate and command a Stronger premium, If found, Sleepers and Unc's seem to go Together.....

While I have Also found the Proofs Do better and are Highly prized,

The Under-Dog historically, The UNCIRCULATED example mintages are Usually lower and much harder to locate an all Originally packed/ struck Uncirculated example, With Most U.S. Coin Types Proofs are More likely to survive and the " Known " mintages reflect the Unc's are far harder to locate, for the same year, in My opinion a Sleeper it Is.

That is just My findings, I really enjoy the UNC's Best in Most Any U S Coinages. I also Love the History of Our Commemorative Program, I wish my School education Included More U. S . Commemorative Recipients History, Might of Clicked My Interests...........

Thanks Again Celtic Knot, Today's " Modern " Commemoratives are Not Collected as Much as the Classic Era coins ( 1930's Especially ). I wonder Just how much Newer collectors seek These Too, ...

Seeing Others showing their Coins collected Here is Awesome, Thanks for being One of Them....
