Two write-ups in one week? I am not sure I can live at that speed!

Well done, of course, and thank you, again.

Update on Uganda. Well, it's probably better not to go there at all. I got knocked unconscious and robbed there.

well, I lost my cell phone, credit cards, cash, etc. and I look like something straight out of a Stephen King novel... apart from that, I'm happy to go home now.

I hope you were able to get everything shut down. Were/are you able to remote wipe your phone? It is easy to do on the newer Android phones, not sure how to do it on Apple.

I got my cards blocked.
For the phone: I got in contact with the phone company and they disabled the SIM card. by doing so, they apparently also blocked most of the apps I have there as they require a valid SIM card.
Now I can only wish the burglar good luck as my phone is locked with pin codes and the three strikes out principle. What I think he will do is just sell it to someone who shoots in a new android OS and then just sells it again at top premium.

The path of least resistance.

Regardless, I am just glad you are okay. Things could have been worse.

Much worse. Now it's just a few scratches and a concussion. Nothing permanent, it seems. So I'm happy that, if it has to go wrong, it goes wrong this way. New cards have been ordered, new phone is on the way, all should be ok again next week.

It has been a few months since @ultrarant updated us as to his numismatic travels. Hopefully, that knock on the head has healed up nicely. While we are waiting to hear about somewhere exotic, I thought I could provide a small addition to this thread.

Earlier this year I was in Bermuda and stumbled across a small hoard of Brittish coppers (with a couple silver coins too) being sold. I didn't pick anything up for myself this time, but I did take a quick pic of the display case. The name of the business is "Bermuda Memories" and it is located in St. George.

For folks visiting the Principality of Andorra (nestled in the Pyrenees between Spain and France), there is a shop called "Companyia Internacional del Brillant" in the capitol of Andorra la Vella. It seems to specialize in bullion rather than being a pure LCS, but is worth a quick look if you are in the area.

Over the Summer I visited Zürich Switzerland and stumbled across this weekly, Saturday-morning flea market where the river meets the lake (e.g. at Fraumünsterstrasse). There must have been 100 stalls, with most selling antiques of one sort or another (see pic), but also several selling 19th and 20th Century world coins, including some silver. I didn't see any obvious fakes, but didn't have a loupe nor a magnet, so potential buyers should still exhibit appropriate caution when making their purchases. Unfortunately, nothing excited me enough to break out my Francs.
