I went to a great coin shop in bologna, Italy today... The information is below.
Decent selection of American gold (1/4 ounces around 3-4% over melt; some half ounce AGEs and some common date pre-33) and I bought out his constitutional silver at a few dollars back.
The other coin shops in bologna (except ranieri numismatics which I did not have a chance to visit - there was a line!) were more typical for Italian coin shops (ie €100 for a worn
Franklin half; €18 for a 64
Kennedy half); although surprisingly, one of these shops must have priced their coins at double melt 20+ years ago so I was able to buy a few 64
Kennedy halves for under €10, but this is only because they were likely sitting in the flips since 2005.
Anyway, here's the only shop I would recommend visiting in bologna Italy. (You'll need some basic Italian and be prepared to negotiate a bit).
