2016 has been a crazy year for commemoratives in the UK, but this is probably my favorite, especially as Hastings is only about 30 miles along the coast from my home, and I sometimes get to escort tour buses there to visit the abbey ruins that stand on the battlefield site. This coin is also unusual as it bears an 11th century date, and shows another English monarch - King Harold - on the reverse!

@pepactonius, wow, do you have any ugly coins? I don't think you must because every single one that you ever post is amazing!

Sure -- just look at some of my posts for the 1500s and 1600s (and 1400s) in the 3rd edition. Somewhere, I've posted my worn out/corroded/damaged 1797 Half Cent, too.

The 2015 gold half eagle commemorating the 225th anniversary of the US Marshals Service. I think the reverse of the coin (w/ the eagle) is one of the strongest designs the US Mint has produced in its modern commemorative series.

Can I still post a 2018 coin once I actually get one (hopefully in two weeks or so), or would it be too confusing?
It would not only be confusing, but it would violate rule #6.
