That's about 2 pence per coin-essentially wholesale prices. You may have more than 65 pounds worth of silver there. Good deal. I wish that I had been there.

After a long time I went to a local market and picked up the following 6.

I got:

1835 Half Anna
1845 East India Half Cent
1895 20 qirsh Sudan
1840 5 centimes Canton Geneva
1854 US cent
Some modern foreign coins

The centimes and qirsh have some silver in them so I guess I can added them to my world silver coin collection.

Nice haul! The US Large Cent alone is worth several times what you paid.

Thanks Finn235 and jbuck. I wasn't sure if this was a good deal but I thought it's a interesting mix of coins and for 6 it's seem a good deal.

Last week I visted a local antique shop that was closing down, I asked the owner if had any coins for sale. He had a tin of coins and banknotes for sale, he sold the whole lot for 25.

I got a 660 coins in total and 21 banksnotes including 2 $5 dollar bills.

Highlight in coins:

1927 Sixpence
1960 Half Swiss Franc
1823 Farthing with possible error
1902 5 Rappen the T over L variety
1862 Quarter Anna
1987 Falkland Islands 20p
1979 SBA Dollar
1971 Half Dollar

I also got a cool British Rail token
