The originals are actually pretty easy to find, except for the Handel and Franklin tickets -- many tens of thousands were issued. By comparison, these souvenir cards are very scarce. ABNC only printed about 2000 sets.

Interesting. Is there a market for the souvenir cards?

I hope so! I have a set that I'm sure I'll want to sell one day. I've been tracking souvenir card sales on eBay and things are moving pretty well if they're price right.

FYI, I am one of the webmasters of the Souvenir Card Collectors Society. We just launched a new website recently if anyone is interested: SouvenirCards.org. http://www.souvenircards.org/index.html
The central feature is a library of card images. I'm still working on populating a lot of the philatelic categories.

The only old ticket I own. My grandmother went to this fair as a young girl. Heard many stories about it when she was around.

Old train tickets from the early 1900's. The Houston Texas Central had a line from Dallas that ran north through McKinney, Texas to Sherman, Texas.

The passenger train service was discontinued sometime after the more "modern" and more frequent light rail electric interurban service started in 1910. The interurban service ran until 1948. There is only Dallas Area Rapid Transit light rail service that goes as far as Plano Texas now and basically runs on the same right-of-way that the trains and inter urbans used over 100 years ago.

I found these tickets on eBay a few years ago. I grew up in McKinney so I collect stuff from that area.
