A young man from the country can't find any work in his home village, so he writes to his uncle, who lives in London, to ask if he could help him find a job there. The uncle writes back "Yes of course. Come and stay with me in London. In London you can earn lots of money and you won't have to work very hard. In London the streets are paved with gold!"
Very excited, the young guy goes to the local station and gets the first train to London.
Arriving at the terminus, he opens the train door and steps down to the platform, where he sees a couple of shiny two-pound coins lying on the ground. He bends down to pick them up, but then straightens hmself up and walks away, saying "No, I'll have a day off today. I'll start work tomorrow!"
