Pretty sure that posting this 1582 AD Franc from the Navarre-Bearn region of France only gets me a single point in this week's contest, but I'm gonna do it anyway. Attribution is Duplessy 1399 and Roberts 6991.

I want a point! Here is a dateless double tournois from the Kingdom of France, made from 1574 to 1589: Only the country is in common, so I guess that means only one point. It is not a lot, but at least it is something.

Quote:Reminder No one has one? I have a single coin from the 18th Century and it's not even close. I'm sure someone around here has one but, they're not playing this game. Maybe this should be limited to 19th-century to present or something similar.

I don't have many foreign coins to begin with but I still think it would be easier for others to participate with 19th century coins. Interesting game though

Way to drop the ball on this thread, Finn I at least have a Louis XVI 12 deniers to contribute for a point. I'll see if I can get a pic of it. Also, I guess I should have been a bit more clear in the rules... whoever has the *highest* number of points is the winner of the round, even if it's just one point. If nobody has anything at all, then it goes back to the OP for another round. I think mysilveryears will most likely win this round. We'll play for a while and see if this thread takes off, otherwise we can just let it fall to the wayside.

1784 France ecu; Bayonne mint: This is pretty much the same coin as Dorado's, except for the different mintmarks. This one is a solid VF with some porosity and planchet flaws. These are kinda tough to find without adjustment marks. It's a large coin; almost 43 mm.

If I understand correctly, this is a one point coin. France 1 franc 1964 Does the OP get the points if no one can match the coin at all?
