Ok very good. Thx @pt.

This will be a matching challenge. See below for a Royal Arch Mason token from the Farmington Maine Chapter. You will get one point each for posting your coin/token with the following:

1. The words "one penny" ("1 Penny" is also acceptable)
2. The date 1879, even if it doesn't refer to when it was made
3. The word "Maine" or its abbreviation (ME)
4. An image of a shovel
5. An image of a pick axe
6. Smoke
7. Any mention or symbology of free masonry not mentioned above

Counterstamps are acceptable too. An exact match for this token will be worth 8 points. Please only post your highest-point entrant.

It has been a while since anyone posted to it, but here is a link to our post something Masonic thread:

Well your contest is so hard that its impossible to get more than 1 or 2 marks.

I was going to show my 1879 British penny, but its so worn all you can see is half of 1879 and the NN from Penny.

I suggest a less difficult quest next time - I mean you chose a one off token from terra obscuris.

That probably makes it less worn than mine - which was admittedly selected for its wear...

This coin is, like most of my other British pennies, part of my 1860-1894 lowball date set; the set is still missing some of the scarcer dates, and a few of the later dates, but 1879 is neither scarce nor sufficiently late.

Obligatory-ish shot of the entire set so far:

The 1879 could (just barely) be seen as the leftmost coin of the second bottom row; the lighting makes it look a lot more worn than it actually is.
