A 1975 5 Kroner coin from Norway that commemorates the 150th anniversary of the start of regular Norse immigration to America.
The obverse of the coin presents the Norse lion with the inscription "KONGE RIKET NORGE" (in English, "Kingdom of Norway"). The coin's reverse depicts the Restoration,
the sloop that brought the first group of Norwegian immigrants to the US. The reverse inscription reads "VEIEN MOT VEST" ("The Road to the West"); the commemorative anniversary dates "1825-1975" are seen below.
