I purchased the below stock certificate and wanted to frame it for him.
Excellent!

So I'm looking for any suggestions from you woodworkers out there for frame design/considerations.
Good call. I am the last one to ask. I would just go to Michael's (would not be the first time) and get something inexpensive but woody.

That being said, if you get no bites here after a day or two, start a fresh topic in the Supplies forum.

Yeah, that's a good option (especially if I just can't find the time to build one). The weather here is supposed to be pretty decent this weekend; hopefully I can get some shop time in!

Time for some new eye candy! Diesel train don't get much love from RR stock collectors. About the time they started coming in, railroad stocks were on their way out. But I managed to round up a good number among the steam locomotives in my collection.

Found a couple more diesels, including two on this large vignette of the Pennsy RR's famous Horseshoe Bend.

I picked up a few more diesels recently. These are not all railroad stocks. General Motors, of course, was primarily an automotive company, but they did supply engines for trains.

Okay, back to steam engines! I really like these antebellum stocks, from back before railroads had conquered the entire nation. This one one is unissued but is likely from the 1850s. If you look closely you'll find the falls in the vignette.
