I'm not actually sure if I'd be contributing again anytime soon; we went quite fast through the 6th century and I wasn't quick enough at remembering which decades I had and which I didn't, but my (and not just my) coverage of the early 6th and late 5th century is terrible.

We're rapidly approaching the point where we got stuck last time. (We should probably bump that one, by the way.) I wonder if there'd be a 3rd edition started if we manage to catch up...

[EDIT: fixed weird typo]

Ok yes good point. I'll get the original thread bumped today. In looking over than one, it looks like we received generous help from @finn to get through the next few decades (starting with the decade of the 500-510 AD, which is where we are right now). I'm hoping that we can count on the same support this time around.

Here is a Byzantine Nummus of King Anastasius I minted in Nicomedia between 491 and 498 AD. I have it attributed as Sear 31.

Yep here is my Sasanian Drachm for this decade. Mine may have a bit more remaining detail, but I like the encrustations on yours @palouche!

Starting tomorrow we can drop back to the decade of the 470s.

Looking for a coin from the decade of the 470s. If we get it, then we will have officially caught up to the 1st thread and I can lock that one.

We can't quite seem to catch that first thread, but this coin will get us one step closer. Here is a Drachm issued by the Sasanian King Peroz at the NI mint between 474 and 477 AD. I have it attributed as Goebl III/3:

Still no 440s from me, have been trying to find a Theodosius II monogram (445-450) but no luck yet - may have to wait for one, or else one of his dated gold coins
