Any CCF members going to the Central Nova coin club show on April 24th?
I already booked the day off. It would be nice to meet some forum members.

I'll be there volunteering at the Central Nova Coin Club table. Lots of interest, many tables reserved. Will have to add this to the CCF Event Calendar. https://canadiancoinnews.com/event/...l-coin-show/April 28th, 2018 Best Western Willow St. Truro The Central Nova Coin Club, in conjunction with the Atlantic Provinces Numismatic Association (APNA), will be hosting the annual Spring Coin and Collectibles Show. The bourse floor will be open to the public at 9:30 a.m. and will run until 4:30 p.m. The APNA will be hosting an evening reception on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.

@harmonica if you know you're attending the show, you should plan a display. There's a good chance to get a medal.

Quote: I'll be there and, I'll bring my harmonica... Be nice to meet you in the flesh, Shaft. Quote: I'll be there volunteering at the Central Nova Coin Club table. It will be nice to meet you, too. Tell Dave Terry is coming up and would like to buy up the rest of those wooden nickels he got at that estate sale. Quote: @harmonica if you know you're attending the show, you should plan a display. I put the finishing touches on my display last night.
I just got off work an hour ago and will be departing from Woodstock N.B. in 5 hours to Truro N.S.
I am in my early 20s, fist length red beard and will be wearing a navy polo shirt with "Softsuds Carwash" over my left breast pocket. Feel free to introduce yourself.

I had some issues with plumbing at home but managed to get to the show for about an hour. Great turn out early many tables and vendors eager to do deals. I went with no wish list. Found a nice 1967 Set in Red Case with awesome toning, all original packaging. Continued with my collection of APNA Silver Medallions, this year from 1970 Saint John with the Marco Polo ship, big 40 mm with nice design and 34.2 grams of 999 silver. I have pics along side the 1972 Medallion and the 2017 Sesquicentennial Copper Medallion from last years show. The silver medallions are edge numbered and low mintages are recorded, 80 and less. Also picked up a roll of 1963 cents with approximately 10 hanging 3 coins within. Saw Chequer, visited every table and got outta Dodge to return to plumbing issue fixed. Thanks Uncle John. Went panning gold. Good Day.

@SilverDon I didn't see those medals, who had them? All nice pickups.

I believe his name was Mark Dalrymple, maybe on the APNA Board. He noted he had a full set of these medals, minus the gold. Would like to see the set with the gold one.
And by the way Chequer - Excellent job on the APNA Spring Newsletter, is this in digital format? I renewed my APNA membership. Great leadership in this associations' resurrection.

@SilverDon I have your membership form right in front of me! I'll email you the 2 issues for 2018 right now.
Mark gets some nice pieces. I picked up a couple from him yesterday and he had a '92 Halifax Explosion piece (my avatar and a very scarce medal) that another member snatched up before I arrived! He's a past president, but not currently on the board. There were only 3 of the '70 Saint John pieces issued in gold and 10 of the '72 Halifax.

Would love to have a look at a gold medallion from 1970, very scarce. At the time only $39 per ounce. Thanks for the newsletters, a great numismatic publication. The Halifax Anniv. Medal was there when I passed by. I remember the brass/bronze medal amongst all the silver.
