GrapeCollects, it will probably be a challenge to figure out the mintmark, do to normal circulation wear and tear and severe Die Deterioration.

Thank you sir for your help. Sometimes we just want to hear it is a RPM vs MD, pride and determination and want a special coin/find. I think I may send my coin in for grading due to other devises not MD however. Rob

Great educational post!
How would we determine coin wear if they were struck with dies which were not worn out. What stages of wear a does coin undergo in circulation when they have been struck with unworn dies?
