The 25 Days of Barber Coins!

Since Moe145 has stepped down from being the host of the "Days of..." threads, I have volunteered to be the next host and continue the awesome "Days of..." threads.
The last time a "25 Days of Barber coins" thread was started, it stalled with the passing of Elbesaar. jbuck suggested that a new thread about Barber coins be started, and I agreed. So here it is!

This thread will include all denominations of Barber coinage - Dime, Quarter, and Half Dollar!

How it works: On the first day, we post photos of our 1892 Barber coins. The next day, 1893! And so on until the final day.

The schedule will be:

15 May: 1892 (All mint marks, errors, and varieties!)
16 May: 1893
17 May: 1894
18 May: 1895
19 May: 1896
20 May: 1897
21 May: 1898
22 May: 1899
23 May: 1900
24 May: 1901
25 May: 1902
26 May: 1903
27 May: 1904
28 May: 1905
29 May: 1906
30 May: 1907
31 May: 1908
1 June: 1909
2 June: 1910
3 June: 1911
4 June: 1912
5 June: 1913
6 June: 1914
7 June: 1915
8 June: 1916

Let's begin!! Can't wait to see some fantastic examples!

All right!

...although I will be out after the first day with my 1892 Dime, Quarter and Half Dollar Trio...but still lurking from the sidelines.

Elbesaar (Michael Hayes) was very passionate about the Barber series and a true gentleman. This thread is a fine tribute.

He had probably one of the most amazing collection of toned Barbers that I've ever seen or will ever see again -- to me, it was right next to Steve Duckor's Barbers, and both had that "eye" for coins that were somehow impossibly beautiful. But he also had patterns, gold, colonials, and a wide range of other coins, and they were all stunners.

To me, it got the point across that eye appeal and quality were sometimes even more important than technical grade when building a heirloom collection to treasure. I've never seen so many AU technical graded coins that made me want to rob banks and sell my house to get a shot at owning them.

I don't have very good photos of most of my Barber coins but I'll post the ones that I do have.

I like this thread idea in honor of all those who have been mentioned. I am grateful to new members of the community such as Silverdollar for volunteering time to organize and format. I think however moving forward we should take a poll on what the CCF wants as a greater whole until such time Moe returns regardless of how many years that takes. There is only one Generallis.

Mike was a great friend and mentor. On one of his summer treks from Naples to Cape Cod, he spent a night with our family in VA. He made stops along the way, and every Barber collector got him a bottle of his favorite, Jamieson whiskey (we coordinated it so he didn't know, but by the 3rd stop he knew something was up). I could write volumes. Thank you for doing this. I don't think I've met a more passionate and prolific collector of this series.

For what it is worth, we usually discuss "what is next" as the current thread comes to a close. We also discuss it in the master thread (which I usually bump as the current topic winds down). I do not want to do polls, because then we have to decide what to put in the polls. Besides, we seem to have gotten along just fine for over seven years without them.

That being said, if discussion ever stalls or stalemates and SilverDollar2017 does not want to choose, I would not be opposed to a poll being created. We will see how it goes in June.

I look forward to participating with my meager collection. Thanks for organizing it @SD2017!
