I have a 1985 10 cents, got it in a lot of coins, my ladies gave me a few years from their thrift shop. They get a lot of coins through their shops and I buy them all with donations.
If you mean 20 cents, yes I agree, apart from set coins, getting anything between 1982 and 1994 is an impossibility. I have a 1987, but its in a 1987 Uncirculated set and a 1983 but that is in a proof set!
The 1983 and 1984 circulation mixes were melted down and turned into cupro nickel bars! (Although Renniks says one box of each coins was saved) and the 1988 is practically a legendary coin in the world of 20 cents.
The joy of cheating and buying years sets, is you will get dates of denominations not issued for circulation in some years.
Loving Halfcrowns. British and Commonwealth coins 1750 - 1950 and anything Kiwi. If it's round, shiny and silvery I will love it.

I was merely supporting our Covid-19 ravaged economy when I picked up the 1989,1990, 1991 and 1992 years sets last weekend. Cheating? Was your mouth out with soap!

It was a joke, my whole collection is largely instant.

As was my response. I realised some time ago that I would never fill gaps by just noodling. Quote:

Ha ha. I have two proof sets sitting at home waiting for that to happen for the first time!

Bought a huge collection of all sorts on Monday and been working through it since, mostly Australia, New Zealand and Britain with some international stuff, a bit of silver too. Here's the Aussie stuff A few 90s and early 00s, but bulk is 80s and earlier, most shiny coins are dated in the early 80s. And some silver, all Australian. Mostly average, but found a 1914 Florin in it (Good). 1931 shilling (aFine) and 1940 Shilling VF, along with usual 40s and 50s VF or better. Other Florins all 1946 or later except 1942S VF (No help as I have it AU).

Picked up a 500 bag of $1 loosies from the bank this afternoon. Was really hunting letters and unfortunately the F and P are duplicates. This however was offset by a 2000 $1/10c mule! A few other lustrous pieces finished the noodle off nicely.

Great find. First noodled mule I have heard of for a long time.

Nice haul Princetane and a great find David.
I have never found a mule, but I've seen a few found recently on Facebook groups.

I'll reboot this thread for 2021 with a noodle of a bag of 500 dollar coins. Some nice keepers for future trades. Am only keeping the 2015-2018 Anzacs at present. I only have 1 spare 2015 Anzac - they seem uber rare. Am a bit surprised I'm the first to post in this thread for 2021. With holidays just finishing and the banks open I thought there would be noodling a plenty happening.
