On the left of most every CCF page, I am trying to remember to use CCF Partners links. They are highlighted in lime green!
It helps CCF a little. Try it!

Canadian dollars struck in nickel (1968 and after) are low mintage, with the average being less than 2 million. Errors are rare in this series.

Secondly, this coin was a proof-like strike, meaning it was a strike for the collector's pliofilm set. Those coins were hand selected for their quality for those sets, so for this one to slip by is rare.

Lastly, this coin is graded PCGS PL-67... as an off-centre dollar error, that is pretty lofty - heck, getting a 67 grade in this series without errors is difficult.

When I saw the coin, I fell in love with it... and recognized the rarity of this error, and bought it. It is still one of my favourite errors...
