R.c.n.a. 65th Annual Convention
2018, August 7, 8, 9, 10, 11

Didn't see any posting regarding the upcoming 5 day convention and coin show or a post mentioning the MacCoin.

Canada's Money Collector Show is being held in Mississauga this year and promises to be another memorable event.

The Bourse floor is open to the public from Thursday to Saturday starting at 10am. It will be a rare opportunity to acquire a 50th anniversary medallion (free with admission) commemorating the Big Mac after the conclusion of it's initial world wide release.

For those who may be unfamiliar with the details google maccoin and you'll soon discover just how scarce and hard to obtain the tokens are in Canada. Sellers on ebay are asking a small fortune for the medals redeemable worldwide and only worth the price of a Big Mac until the end of the year.

As a long time member and avid supporter of the RCNA, I'm excited at the prospect of adding a desirable and historic item to my collection as well as benefiting from attending many of the functions taking place throughout the week.

While I registered long ago, I only became aware today of the special offer through a post on the Canadian Coin News website. There are other opportunities to acquire the entire set through contests also detailed at CCN.

As always a fun and rewarding experience much more so if you registered, attended meetings and numerous functions.

Met some terrific people, ate and drank lots and overspent. Great job by the NYCC and RCNA.

You need almost a week just to fit all the activities in! Many travel from far and make a vacation out of it.

Exhausting for sure but if you plan your itinerary in advance and avoid the temptation to overextend yourself it's not too difficult.
