So I was looking through pennies again and found a unique find. It's an off-center penny where the top almost has no rim at all and the bottom of the penny has a thick rim. If anyone knows the value of one of these things or how rare they are then please contact me.

And here

That's called a Misaligned Die (MAD). Although, it's not severe enough to be worth a premium over face value. It's worth face value unfortunately. http://www.lincolncentforum.com/mis...ter-strikes/

Since no design elements are missing, it probably won't have much of a premium.

Not rare at all, called MAD... misaligned die. If the details are missig on BOTH sides in the offset it becomes an Offset Strike
That is one "struck out of collar", a broad strike or no collar strike. Those have value dependent upon percent off set.

It cannot be called a misaligned die without seeing the reverse.

Can you post a reverse pic?

Here is the back image, there isn't much of a misprint on the back...so idk if it's a MAD or not.

That's actually one of the distinct factors of a MAD, nearly all the the time on minor to moderate MADs only one side is noticably affected

Thanks for the pic!

It is indeed a misaligned die (MAD). You have to see both sides of the coin to determine that, though.

Dude listen, I'm just a teenager that has a giant jar of change. I'm using my crappy phone. If you've got any suggestions on how to improve it then let me know.

It is a MAD for sure. No premium above face.

Make sure you focus the lighting directly on your coin, something like a desk lamp will help. Then cover the bulb with a paper towel or a coffee filter to 'diffuse" the light.
