I'm planning to start a type album. Because of the coins involved, I'd like to do it in a CAPS album. It seems they only have a 1900-2000s book, which leaves out the 1700s and 1800s. Is it possible to fit these pages in one of their bigger custom binders to have one type album, or will it be multiple books regardless? Also, is it worth getting the 1700s page? It seems many (all?) of the coins are in the 1800s pages anyway. I don't know if I want to pay for duplicates of these coins just to say I have the page.

They do make an 1800's Type Album. I like the idea of one book but the pages are too thick so it takes multiple books regardless. I have two CAPS albums the 1800's book and the 1900's/2000's. They also have a page for the 1700's but the coins on that page are too pricey for me to complete and I believe they have some duplicates in the 1800's album like the 1798-1803 Bust Dollars.

This isn't necessarily the answer you're looking for, but you could get custom pages from CAPS. All of the 1700s and 1800s pages are H-sized. You could order a custom H-size page and label it any way you want. Or two pages, depending on how many holes you want/expect to fill.

I didn't see the 1800s book online, but I can look again.

The custom book may be a good idea, however I don't know enough of each type to feel confident making one. If I did, I'd likely just copy the options on their type pages.

bazooka, You could start with the 1800"s and 1900's & 2000's type sets and then after you get comfortable with filling the coins, do a custom H-size page for 1700's. I have completed the 1800's and the 1900's & 2000's albums and am very pleased with the product.
