My daughter is getting married next year and I need to generate some cash. It was hard decision but I've decided to sell off my Grandfather's Morgan dollars
to help. I inherited
a good sized collection of mint state Morgans a long, long time ago. These have been in my family since the 1940's! 100% original coins, some have a bit of toning but none of them have ever been cleaned, dipped or messed with.
When I obtained the collection each coin was maticulately rinsed with lab grade acetone and placed into Airtite holders. After that, they were sealed into freezer ziplocks with desiccant and a sacrificial cent. Those bags were stored in a giant ziplock with more desiccant and placed into Tupperware. These have been properly stored for all the years under my care.
THE REVERSE AUCTION WORKS LIKE THIS....
Periodically, I'll randomly drop the price of the coin. The first person to post that they want the coin WINS!
- FREE SHIPPING! The price you lock in is the price you'll pay.
- Prefer cash, check or money order but I'll also take PayPal.
1878-P 7TF Morgan dollar
I've posted this coin a few times over the years, the consensus was MS-64.
The coin has nice cartwheel luster (but not blazing on the obverse, the reverse is blazing). Great eye appeal due to the fairly clean cheek and only light abrasions in the obverse fields. The reverse is excellent, very detailed and almost no distractions at all.
STARTING PRICE $140
