tonight I picked $1.21 in well-scattered change. joy. last night I found exactly... zero. so the $1.21 tonight was very welcome.

a totally unrelated score:

i tend to a patio garden at a condo complex not far from where I live. I used to live at that complex back in 2018, for about 7 months. I know several people who live there, including the office people. I noticed recently that the office did one of it's bi-annual bike rack clean-outs. I went to them to thank them for the clean-out, it makes for easier parking for me when I show up to do work there. one of those people offered me my choice of any bike from that clean-out. so I scored myself a Trek road bike!

yah, me too.. in fact I'm champing at the bit now... there's a coin in one of my shopping carts that was just discounted by $15, so I'm having to hold my breath, but I doubt i'll be ready to nab it before the discount passes.

doesn't matter. I have numerous options.

...so, tonight was hot dog night and I was on the back end of the route, all kitties fed, heading back in the general direction of downtown, riding through the winn-dixie parking lot at about 12:30am, when I spotted what looked like a folded wad of $10...





...and it was!

that was a nice boost for the pot.
