Now that it has hit 12:00 am where I live meaning it is officially midnight I would like to start the thread where we report finding 2019 dated coins in circulation. As it is Jan. 1 2019 it is possible though unlikely that any will be gotten today.
Coins gotten in circulation through either change or a bank. Please tell the city and state where you got them.

Good one but too early to start this thread . It will probably get lost somewhere . More than likely the first one that finds a 2019 coin will make his own post . Great thought though .

I like this thread too. I'm guessing we'll have a circulated find in Feb. 2/10 to be exact. But I won't see any 2019 until much later.

Maybe we should turn this into a friendly competition...?
First post of a 2019 circulation find gets a prize? We could have prizes for each denomination...?
FWIW: In years past I've seen new coinage in mid-January...

Got one... and it appears to be a 2019/18. Sending it off to PCGS now. What do I win?

I'll play again!
I'm in Texas, but I usually find my first New Year's Coins in Las Vegas.
I go about once a month. I would expect them to start turning up there in either February or March.
Last year I think I scored some 2018-D nickels in late January at The Golden Gate Casino in downtown LV.
We shall see what happens this year.

Can we capitalize "US" in the title before it's too late? Otherwise this will drive me nuts for a year. Us coins gotta stick together!

It will be a few months before I come across one. Always the fun thing to do to start off the year.
