I found this 2013 P LSC and while it is a no doubt DDO, I cannot match it on any site as there are no discernable die markers. The only one that it comes close to is the 2013 P WDDO-009 but it doesn't have the die gouge on the shield above the T in CENT. The doubling on BERTY seems thicker on this cent than the WDDO-009. The thickness on the 20 on the date appears a little different as well. I am not saying this is a new find but maybe a different stage of one that is already known? And, it is the reddest shield cent I have ever seen! Thoughts?

Not a doubled die, what is doubled? Looks like field disturbance on certain areas of your coin. Probably happened on the last die polishing to remove a clash. Note the affected areas are where a clash could happen? First two digits, last two totally normal. Last to devices on LIBERTY is show field disturbance, the other devices are normal. The shield is showing the same thing. Nothing doubled, fields disturbed. Nothing is doubled, just fields altered a bit.

There is notching in the upper left hand corners of the devises. If what your saying is correct then the 2013 P WDDO-009 should be removed from Wexler's site. For once, I strongly disagree with you.

I can see where you would think it is a DDO,fooled me till I read what coop said. I would 2x2 it for a reference piece.

So if I'm understanding you correctly, a field disturbance can cause notching in the devises correct? Like the notching in the upper left hand corners in BERTY?

No, that was not what I was referring to. I didn't see the areas your talking about yet. The images were pretty small and I missed that. The areas I was talking about is above the devices. Larger images and arrows help a lot more. But check the markers for 006 to see if it is close. If not, you might check with John, with larger images. LOL

Did you check the markers for WDDO-001? (seems a bit stronger than your coin?)

Thinking WDDO-006 or a new one. The date looks wrong for WDDO-009. Wish there was a date image for all of them as it can be really helpful, but alas there is none for -006.

It's not the 006 tropicalbats, I think this may be a new one. I'll send it to Wexler along with the 1963 with the doubled eyelid.

@coop, it's not the WDDO-001, no markers to match. The cross reference was coppercoins IDO-001 and it doesn't match that either. I'll just send it to Wexler and maybe he can figure it out.

Obviously coop, tropicalbats and myself believe that it is. Coop missed looking at the notches in the devises like you did. So, I'll send it in to see for sure what it is John1.

Clearly, it's a DDO. It has some slight notches and extra thickness.

Not as strong as WDDO-009, doubling is slightly different on WDDO-006.

I think it's a slightly earlier die state of WDDO-001, the die crack isn't fully developed but the small portion of it above the LU matches.

Ok then, let's see a larger close up of the notches you are referring to, because I can't see them neither.

For what it's worth, it looks like a DDO to me.
