Wonder if he said where he dumped them (coinstar most likely) then with a police serving warrant for search and seizure of stolen property, I'm sure they tried to get back the coins. I wonder what the status is, or if we will ever hear the final whereabouts to the coins. Wish there was a better description like were they just high grade? A bunch of MS69/70 broken out of TPG holders and spent or other? I know ICG certified rolls of MS63 or better them at a time, they sell on ebay for about $10 over face. $33K value, less a couple thousand already sold, is still a ton of coins since they just aren't that valuable. The poor original owner would have done better owning a couple of high grade TPG slabbed gold coins I'd think. But to each their own I suppose.

You need - if you really care - to track down the original Palm Beach Post stories and read the arrest report... the AP article is a pile of stinking rat droppings.
The victim originally said the stolem propery was worth $150K then changed it to 350K while talking to the detective.
The perp in a sworn Mirandized statement said he took the good coins to a pawn shop and the rest to the coinstar... and received less than $4,000...
I have to believe the valuation is based on TV huckster sales...
Oh and the perp is in jail on $15,000 bond. Guess he couldn't come up with enough $1 coins to post bail...

Luckily they were recovered. That guy is doped. Leave him in a long while.

well if he did change his mind about the value of the coins doesn't really matter does it I mean. Where as it only worth if you want the claim on insurance and need the police report with inflated figures, but I mean can you really put a value of one of kind items :D.
