Weight 1.72 grams, diameter 22 millimeters.

Possibly French because of the group it was with, and one side seems to have a crown.

@oriole, looks more like a groat of Queen Elizabeth I than French (would require rotating your second image 90 degrees clockwise). Here is a numista link to get you started as I am not sure which emission yours is:

Also reminds me of Elizabeth I, with the rose behind the bust as this appears to have it would make it a 6 pence.
