Looks like two different coins; a xxx2 Denver and 1985 Denver.
I am lost on this one (this is the norm for me).

E&V: I was kind of thinking that BUT all the Peripheral Die Damage coins I have seen are touching the rim. This one Is NOT touching the rim.

Thanks for posting the coin Daves Errors.
I have seen a few of these and chalked them up as damaged coins from the minting process.
Also, thanks for the link Errers and Varietys; looks like the situation with this coin.

Daves Errors, this is Peripheral Die Damage. I have seen it a couple of times myself CRH. I have an example of this in my collection.
