Right. Germany is established, but not the issuing subdivision.

, we can cut the list in half with an alphabet question. We then know it wasn't a city or POW issue in that block.

The gamemaster is making us work for this one, just like the last one. We'll still get it, just like the last one. .

I agree, we should ask if the issuing authority begins with the letter X.

From notgeld.com. I believe this covers both script and coinage. Not including the normal metal, paper and card notgeld issues:

aluminium foil

banknotes themselves! - (revalued / overprinted notes BUT ALSO other 'non-related banknotes' eg) Zweibruecken '1 on 3)'

brochure pages - (pages from wicker brochures etc)

calico - (a plain-woven textile, made from unbleached and often not fully processed cotton. Can look like wallpaper designs)

celluloid badge-like encased postage stamp pieces - (these are known as kapselgeld)

clocking-in' cards

compressed card (coins)

compressed coal dust (coins)

food ration cards - (includes........but is not limited to............ milk cards and commodities like bread, flour and sugar)

jute - (like a fine sacking material)

leather - (can vary in types and thicknesses)

linen

lottery tickets

photographs

playing cards

porcelain (coins)

postcards - (inludes military field postcards (feldpost))

railway tickets - (unused Reichsbahn tickets)

share certificates - (eg.'Kux-shein' - which are specifically shares in mines or mining companies)

silk

vouchers - (zinsschein)

velvet

wood - (tends to be plywood of some description)

This is worse than India imo, at least that was a coin, notgeld might as well be a token.

There are only 6 categories joe,E1- are private issues, E2- are municipal issues, E3- are Prisoner of War issues, including private POW issues, E4- are transportaton issues, E5- are gas and electric utility tokens and E6- are porcelain issues.

At least the date range should only be 1918-1948

It is one more metric we can use to narrow things, your guess might not need a year but it would help us. If it was issued between 1921 and 1923 for example, it will most likely have a very high numerical value. It is most likely a E1 as it can't be porcelain and the utility one are definitely tokens. Zinc, brass, iron and other base metals are.all possible.

10. This coin is primarily made of metal.

So, this answer is also a hint, perhaps.

I see some porcelain issues that are gilt, but that would mean metal was not the primary material.
