Quote: All Game Masters get a history lesson too Guessers too. I know way more about French coins than I did the other day. Too bad it's not French. Oh well, still learned a lot. What countries are still in play after that longitude question paired with the Med. question. France was there but gone now. Gotta be Spain. Was the issuing country of this coin Spain?

6 more Q's. Should be more than enough. I've been looking at Spain in Numista, for the date range there is quite a few varieties. So I will cut the date in half.
Was this coin around for the Battle at Monte Carlo where the English and Portuguese armies beat Spain?

I have a couple of ideas for my question. I'm torn between asking if the coin has a precious metal content or asking if it is a commonly collected coin. Which do you think will get us any closer?

Yeah. I could see that being the case. Ok. Does the coin have any precious metal content?
