While I'm at it, I found this 1878 CC Half Dollar for sale on eBay, I'm pretty certain it isn't real, but it's got quite a lot of bids and watchers, so maybe it is real and I'm just wrong. What do you guys think? The "CC" looked wrong to me...

I'm 95% positive it's authentic...
1. I'm no expert but I'll give my two cents. 2.My favorite coin so far: 1913 Buffalo nickel matte proof type II reverse

50% real vs fake. It could be real and just retoned. But it has the look of a fake that was beaten up to pass as real.

100% fake. The mintmark is wrong. The Cs should be thicker on the left vertical section.

1000% fake, 1878 CC half dollar has one die marriage and the mint mark is way off and the date is a total joke.

Definite fake, as Heymikep noted the mint mark is particularly poorly executed as is the date (both in size and style)

Besides the obvious incorrect MM. This also matches known fakes that can be easily searched on Google with the search terms "Copy 1878 CC Half Dollar"

Out of curiosity, are fake coins, if done well, worth anything? Like the bid of this is over $100, and surely people know it's fake? I was just wondering if they still have any value?

EBay coin shoppers always should exercise due diligence. Note that this seller only has 9 feedback responses. The only recent sale was for a Civil War token that sold for $8. I'm no authority on tokens but the photos for that listing appear to show another poorly-executed fake.
A low-feedback seller offering a key date US coin should automatically raise a caution flag.
