Hi,

I was following this ebay auction - thinking I might put in a last minute bid but I forgot about it. I was expecting the lot to go for about 10.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TWO-TINY...3c5pgIE%253D

The final price was....surprising

Somebody seems to know their chuckrams in great detail, to be able to value them at that level.

I have a pair of them as well as well,
but they only cost me $3 each, out of a dealer's junk box.
My knowledge of them is superficial, relative to Indian coinage generally, so $3 each for me is OK, without necessarily being a bargain.

If you put Travancore into a CoinArchives search and scan through the recent sales, types with the six-pointed star seem to be selling in the $200-260 range, though I am not sure if the denomination, etc is the same as in the eBay listing.

(I learned something new today )
