This planchet is very thin and weighs 2.7 grams. I thought I'd be the corrosion, but that grows on the surface, it doesn't eat at the coin.....right? Also in the picture of the edges, the blacker one is the one in question.


What you can buy for a dollar now days.....is absolute non cents!

Where did you get the idea that corrosion doesn't "eat" the coin? Corrosion most certainly deteriorates the surface of a coin! Corrosion is the gradual destruction of a material, in this case, this copper Indian. Normal weight for an Indian cent is 3.11 grams, so 2.7 with corrosion would be very normal.
