I found four of these 1942-d RPM-005 EDS, Stage A LWC in the toned roll last week.
http://varietyvista.com/02a%20LC%20...2DRPM005.htm
(There were only about 8 in the roll that had no colorful toning.)

My coins match CopperCoins EDS markers.
http://coppercoins.com/lincoln/dies...ie_state=eds

VV description and images seem a little confusing on markers. Images of "Stage B" show the die scratch over the right wheat stem but the description has it in the EDS area. My coins are EDS, so the images showing the die scratch over the right wheat stem should have been listed in the Stage A images.
All of the RPM's were high grade but one is details grade because of a spot above the right wheat stem.

For organizational purposes, I randomly labeled these in the images.(@,8,y,z)

There may be multiple coins represented in the images since some areas appeared more clear on different coins.

ps- Coin "@" has a big ugly spot right at the main reverse marker above the right wheat stem. I believe this would qualify as a carbon spot and get a details grade for this coin.
In the image with arrows, Red point to the listed die scratch VV marker above the right wheat stem and Black point to additional N-S die scratches that are through and south of MERICA>
hope you enjoy.

Here's the "Ugly" spot. (A carbon spot?)

Thanks Coop and GC. Yep, not there when it was minted so a details grade (a type of environmental damage it would seem)

GC, credit card as in buying a slabbed one?

Oops! Darn autocorrect! I meant Verdi-Care! No idea how my stupid phone thought that's what I meant to type!

LOL
I hate when that happens.
It heard Card (instead of Care) and the "auto-garble" from there is inevitable.

It is not a surface issue. Carbon spots are in the planchet. Pretty much just a copper coin when these appear.

Thanks for that little tidbit about being in the planchet Coop. I never realized that.
