My friend returned from Sri Lanka today
and he bought me some coins while he was there.
So I have 2 questions. First one is, what are they?
Second one is, are they real? Any help would be
appreciated as I don't normally collect coins like this.

Steve :)

@TM, the VOC monogram is for the East India Company, so I recommend looking recommend looking on numista with keywords such as VOC and STUIVER. You will find good examples there, for example:

I am quite suspect of these examples that your friend brought back, but this isn't my area of expertise. I'm sure others will weigh in. Are any of these coins attracted to a magnet?

A couple things, Sri lanka was called Ceylon when these would have been produced. That bar is supposed to be a 4 & 3/4 STUIVER (quite rare) though I don't know if it is real. The circular ones are 1 stuiver, All seem to be dutch issue and would probably be easier to find if you include that.

Thanks for your help guys.
I would think these Stuiver coins
are fake as they seem to be rare.

Although I'm sure this is a fake,
this is the closest I can find to
the Dutch Lion Dollar..
