Pic isn't really good enough to grade.
But it looks cleaned.
AU details is my guess.

This is one of those coins that is more often found in EF or better, as it was withdrawn from circulation soon after issue. The reverse design didn't show the value, and many people gilded the sixpence and passed them off as half-sovereigns (just like the 1883 'no cents' nickel)!

NumisRob has said it exactly right.

A lot of British people were tempted to hoard a few coins of the 1887 date, because that was the Jubilee Year of queen Victoria's reign, and so coins of this date tend to be found in higher than average condition for this reign.

Cleaned, weak strike on Obverse - EF, a lot more wear than noticeable.

British grading is more harsh that US grading, our EF is their AU, our VF is their XF.
Loving Halfcrowns. British and Commonwealth coins 1750 - 1950 and anything Kiwi.
If it's round, shiny and silvery I will love it.
