@pepactonius, I had to look REALLY long and hard to understand why one of those 1/12 thaler coins is Bishopric of Paderborn (yesterday) and the other is Munster (today). The coats of arms are nearly identical obverse (only a couple of portions are flipped in the upper left and lower right corners), and the legends are nearly the same, except the Paderborn coin has "EP PAD&M" (Bishop of Paderborn & Munster) from 9:00-10:00 reverse, and the Munster coin has "EP MOETP" (Bishop of Munster & Paderborn). Reverse, only the mintmasters initials are different. SO I guess one bishop presided over both places (same coat of arms), but each minted coins, with different mintmasters but a shared design, except for the precedence of one place over the other in the obverse legends? (WAY into the weeds )

Beautiful Salzburg! Quote: 1712 County of Namur, 1 liard I have Namur for 1709, but with a different coat of arms reverse, different legends, etc. Time for some research. I might have called my coin for today another lowball for this decade, but I actually needed to outbid someone. Papal States-Ferrara, 1711 1 muraiola = 4 baiocchi It seems the popes did not sign on to the big hair craze (though they sure enjoyed their hats ).
