What about a coin from 1820, since we don't have a thread for them?

Mods feel free to move it or delete it if you like. Or even we could start a thread with 1820 coins and no doubt someone may even have coins from 1720 and further backwards.

Unlike 1920, 1820 was a year of progress as more countries moved to a gold standard and Britain entered its 5th year of perfectly round, high quality sterling silver coins.

The French and German states were also issuing fine pieces, Europe was benefitting from the long years of piece and progress after the defeat of Napoleon.
Loving Halfcrowns. British and Commonwealth coins 1750 - 1950 and anything Kiwi.
If it's round, shiny and silvery I will love it.

if someone else posts an 1820 I will spit this and that out into their own topic. Until then, it is a nice diversion.
