Hadn't heard of this before. Very interesting. You said it was a collapse? So a large internal die break occurred and loosened but didn't fall out? Am I understanding this right?

Nice one! I believe there are one or two Washington quarters with this error, but are actually listed in the cherry pickers right?

Very nice TB !
Also referred to as Die Subsidence error.
I picked one in a fairly early state of it forming and the error had the look of an xrayed spinal column.

It was late, I should have said die subsidence. Collapse I believe is the wrong word here.
