Looks like AU something but I'm not really sure, thanks.

Also apologies if the photos aren't the best, it's a tough coin to photograph.

AU 53. Maybe details. Can't tell if those are clash marks, cleaning hairlines, or scratches

AU-53 sounds right, possibly some ED?

Weakly struck. A couple of touches of wear on the reverse - the diamond plus the fins on the big C. AU Details sounds reasonable given the recent scratches to the right of the diamond.

AU53. photos not good enough to determine any issues that would cause a details designation. my guess is that those scratches are minor. the star boarder and shield look nice

They are a hard coin to photograph well, in part because they're so darned small. The tiny size also makes small scratches look much bigger than they are. I'm at AU-55 on condition, but the spotting is a little concerning.

I have an UNC Details example of this date that also has pronounced strike weakness at the date and some of the stars. Seems to just be the way these come.

I agree with AU, at the lower end of the range.

Type 2 Trimes are scarce in AU-anything. I agree with the upthread comments on strike and overall grade range. I see the obverse at AU-55 and the reverse at AU-53. Trimes and fish scales get something of a pass for minor scratching, because they were minnows in a pocket or coin purse filled with reeded-edge whales. I agree with @panzaldi, the spotting is a concern. I think it nets to AU-53, straight grade.

Looks like an AU-55 with a better than average strike.
