Possibly WDDR-002? It could also be unlisted. Definitely a DDR though. Nice find!

Nice find. That T (CENT) was the clincher for me.
(It was hard for me to tell if the notching in the other images was real or the lighting.)

Could you post some images of the full words. UNITED, STATES OF, AMERICA, ONE, CENT. SO I can check to see if the devices are actually enlarged or not? I can make side by sides to see what if they are normal sized or not?

Some have asked about my images I use and I'm glad to say, you can now you can see the DVD in sections on youtube:

Thank you all, I myself cannot identify it with any of the DDRs as it seems more minor than the ones listed.

Here you go Coop:

What's confusing me here is that based on the photos of both VV and Wexler's, there seems to be no DDR that has a split serif on the R. So is this a new listing?

I'm looking into the idea that if this is not enlarged, it maybe not a DDR. But I've seen the 'R' split before on fresher dies. (A crisp die that is showing small amounts of wear) I've seen this before. Now I have something to compare it with.

Well comparing it to a normal EDS die, the devices on your coin is smaller in size. But on the EDS example there are some of the same and a few more areas that look like doubling, but the devices are not enlarged. Something with the design makes it look like a DDR, when it is not. Just lines on the tops of some of the devices. Bummer. I looked into this in the past and spotted the similar thing, but wanted to compare it with your coin. But here are the images:

To my eyes it looks like there is doubling elsewhere as well though. The T in CENT, M in AMERICA, a few letters in UNITED.

EDIT: If you look at the closer images that I took in my original post, you can see what I'm talking about.

I was surprised they didn't show on the second set of images. But lines there doesn't mean it is doubled. There is no spread. On the EDS example on the 'O' on ONE shows something that yours does show. But the 'T' at the top has the same marks as your coin. You could submit the images to John Wexler and see what he thinks. But the enlarging/spread is not there. So it maybe a common event on the fresher dies? I forget to ask for images of the EPU area. But they are probably going to be the same as the EDS example.

My lighting system is a bit off, so that could be the reason it didn't show. Good idea, I'll submit it to Wexler and see what he thinks. The EPU shows no sign of doubling as far as I can tell. I'll let everyone know when I get the results back from Wexler.

Here is the best photo I could take of AMERICA and it shows quite a bit of doubling.

I have just sent off an email to Wexler with multiple photos, hopefully he'll have some input to share.
