Yes, I sent them an email a week or so ago. I'm debating whether to send the moderator 2 other repunched 9's and a clearer photo of the T/P that shows it as a quad. And 1 of the 2 R/P'd 3's

They do seem accommodating and want to add the proper literature and pricing to said varieties.

Its a start where the collectors can work with them without a lot of red tape involved and get varieties recognized. They don't show the doubled punch 3 good idea Bill.

OK, I'll send them when I get a chance. I couldn't get the other D/P'd '93 in there. It's pretty scarce.

Their one-cent specimen pricing is completely out of touch. I sent them an couple of emails a month ago to try to help them out, but they have apparently not believed the info I gave them or else they do not want my suggestions. It seems to me they believe Charlton pricing on these, which is also quite wrong. Charlton also lists specimen cents that do not exist and does not list others that do. C'est la vie. Their website, they can do what they want.

Many specimens, including most of the many examples sold over the past 18 months, change hands privately and do not show up in public auctions. I will take all the 1898-H cent specimens anyone has at three times their pricing info. Of course, you probably do not have any, since there are only 2 examples out there.

Bosox,
How come you are so sure that there are only 2?
perhaps you meant: there are only 2 known at this time or better said: there have only been two recognized and graded at this time?
example:
Some years ago I had a very scare (1 of 2 known and graded NFL cash notes) Of the 5,000 printed (many have gone who to knows where) One is at the Museum in Ottawa, and I had the opportunity to purchase the other privately, already graded. last fall another shows up at an auction...now, there are 3.
miracle? Or maybe just waiting to be found in someone's Attic or basement clean up in an old album, or during remodelling stashed in a cigar box-safe between the walls for safe keeping for the grand kids.
The risk for more like it (for yours or mine or other rare items) is small, but real.

They came out of the Heaton Hoard in the 1970s. In the 40+ years since there are two definitely known and rumors of a third.
