Like hfjacinto, I recently submitted for the first time to ANACS. I ended up submitted a second submission following this one and will post results when it arrives. I feel hfj covered the process/costs, so I wont go over that, more-so the results and my opinions.
CHOOSING COINS: These are not typically coins I would send off to a
TPG, but given the low cost of ANACS promotion, having never used them, the cost I have into the coins themselves, and a little to much Covid free time, I decided to give it a go.
All coins I submitted were either cherrypicked/picked up cheap, lot/roll finds, or sentimental.
I also tried to get a small variety out there, rather than send all MS, all
LWC, all Buffs, all Morgans, etc. I did evaluate each coin before submitting and had an idea of how I would grade, and I will notate that below with the pictures.
RESULTS: Turnaround time: was about 5 days quicker than quoted. They posted grades promptly and shipped promptly.
Customer service: did call and speak with them a couple times and they were great to work with. By far the easiest of the 3 big TPGS, and definitely the most willing to help/assist.
Grades: Overall I was happy with the results. There was one coin that I felt was overgraded (
Franklin half) and one I felt was pretty drastically undergraded (WLH). On the rest, I would say they were pretty spot on, and conservative on a few (which I will notate).
Would I use them again? Definitely! I will still stick with
PCGS for big ticket items, but for the rest, I would certainly use ANACS again. I'm not sure I would use the standard services that often, but would jump on any of the promotions they run, as I feel it is well worth the minimal costs going into it!
Ill be posting pics throughout the next day with images of results (again, forgive my sub par picture taking). Hopefully they're good enough to post results.
EDIT: all images have been posted.
