Hi,
I mainly focus on varieties and errors on US coin but this caught my eye. I have a few questions about this coin.
1st, does it have 13 bracts and 9 thorns?
2nd, does the lamination peel add and value or appeal?
last, Is this token in too bad of condition for these nuances to affect it much? or is it just an 1843 nova scotia half penny from 1843?

Thanks,
zack

The lamination is not uncommon for that time period, it neither really adds value, nor detracts from it. I don't collect this series, so others will have to provide their opinion of the variety.

Except in dramatic cases, I find laminations a detraction, but many collectors feel differently.

Appreciate the feedback on the lamination.
Can anyone help pin down the variety for the thorns?
