Here's a good editing program I personally use and I like it . It's called Photoscape .http://www.photoscape.org/ps/main/index.php
It's totally free and safe .

It's a really good software.
I'm using it since a couple of years now.
Quite easy to use with many useful features.

https://www.gimp.org is a really good one also its basically a free adobe.

I use Canon's Digital Photo Professional for doing any actual photo post processing, and paint.net for adding, combining, etc.

I think Photoscape has some tools for adding those reflection effects people seem to like, is that true?

Gimp is what I use on my Ubuntu systems, for what it is worth. I still prefer Paint.net though.

@Jbuck yeah I just use Gimp because all my graphic art also that and blender(3d program)

Gimp is solid. I would probably prefer it if I used it more, but since I am on a Windows laptop most of the time for work it is just more convenient to use paint.net especially since it satisfies what I use for work (mostly procedural documentation).

For what it is worth, the desktop I built for my son runs Ubuntu and he is using Gimp for his school work.

@jbuck yeah I build all my computers also havnt built a lappy yet but, anyway yeah Gimp is so versatile but I do get the simplistics of others
