I got my first box for the new year last night, a $25.00 box. I hope to get through it this weekend. I also picked up 5 rolls of nickels and 5 rolls of quarters, just for the fun of it!

Nice 86! I think your scanner is hiding some luster, the 80's are tough to find in good MS condition, I toss about 99% of them into the cull pile.

Ha! Finally a picture

Top row, clipped 1960 & 1944
Second row, a slightly battered but still red '58D, a '67 with some extremely strange damage, and a 1975 with an IL counterstamp.

Here's a closer look at the '67-

Best guess is that somebody was experimenting with making buttons out of pennies, and gave up on this one before they finished

Third row, 28S, poorly photographed, copper planchet, 1994 with the copper stripped off (there's a mark on the rim where the wire was attached)

Man, clips and a blank planchet? You're lucky!

The 67 spent time in a dryer is all, that's how they typically look...I toss 'em into the cull pile.

Hi,

I had my first attempt at roll hunting and found the following number of wheats in my first 5 boxes:
Box 1 - 27
Box 2 - 14
Box 3 - 15
Box 4 - 9
Box 5 - 14

The best wheats were a 1917, and 2 1920's, very worn. Are these results typical?

Hi all, new to the Coin Community. I thought I was bad...I go through 20 or more bank rolls in a day! I'm new, a little over a year to coin collecting. I love it...it's like fishing, you never know what you will get.

No, you're doing better than most. I usually get about 8 wheats per box. Congrats!

Click on MyCCF in the top red bar, you can set all your preferences there.

To add a pic, don't use the quick reply, use the reply button under the posts to go to advanced reply mode. Then click on the camera icon below your advanced post to "Add Image".
