They look more like rim bumps to me. The one near OF certainly does not look like a clip. Hopefully others will chime in but I'm thinking it was just damaged. Sorry!

I could easily be wrong here, but they look like the real deal to me. Look at the right one on the reverse- the dentils are clearly not struck up, but I don't see any of the metal movement I'd expect from a ding.
