Someone else saw this cherrypick, as the price went high, but I wanted a spare in uncirculated grade for my collection so I went higher.

A remarkably popular variety, given that there are far more substantial DDO's out there, this one just has a bit of doubling on the 1 and 9 of the date.

Nice find TB, good job. Is this 001 or 003? Also looks like a notch at the top of the 4 from your pic.
Edit: I have lost my mind....... the benefits of getting old..... yes, this is Wexler's 001.... it's late and I need to go to sleep. Good find!

Very nice! Lots of nice varieties in the steel cents. Been trying to pick RPM-001 for quite a while but it's such a strong variety it almost always gets noticed. I know Klocc just picked one recently in MS65 which is crazy so there's hope for me yet! Congrats on another great find!

Nice clean field.

Source of find? Roll, auction, pocket change, etc?

Stay well,

Thanks all! I try to look at 1943 coins when I get a chance but so often they are reprocessed or have just awful photos. It was nice to actually see the doubling and know for sure what I was bidding on.
