Having trouble discerning the errors on this coin, appears to be missing clad layers on both sides, and has something round stuck in the middle of it, can see the bulge from both sides. Any help would be most appreciated, thanks.
I'm thinking it's worth 50 cents. Given the photos above, I'm seeing post strike damage--quite possibly heat related, with reaction to environmental agents the coin may have been exposed to. Might be a blunt force caused bump in there too. Could we get larger, sharp images of the while obverse and reverse?
No edge reeding is indicative of the coin being circulated in slot machines at one time, the rest, as mentioned is due to environmental damage,could have been in fire or metal detector find. It's a spender.
