I just bought an eBay lot of 3 coins for $7.25 including shipping! It was originally listed for $8 plus $3 shipping, but the seller accepted my best offer.
There is a mislabeled 1859 Indian Head cent that I am pretty excited about! It was written as 1860. The pictures were blurry, but they were clear enough for me to tell that the coin has the No Shield reverse. Also, the grade of the coin looks pretty good from what I can tell. My guess is F-VF. I'm a bit worried as there could possibly be corrosion/verdigris in front of the face, but I hope that is a trick of the light.
There were also two wartime wheat cents - one 1943 and one 1943-S. (Sorry for posting more than one coin!)
I banked on the fact that the photos were ridiculously blurry—but even so this was a good deal for the price! I'll post in-focus pictures when I get the coins in-hand!
With no shield on the reverse, it's absolutely an 1859. However, I am a little concerned that there may be severe pitting on the obverse. Even if it is pitted though you should be able to get your money back at the very least.
Coinfrog- these are likely the seller's pictures not Coin_Obsessed
Haha Coinfrog yeah the pictures above are the seller's... that's why they're super blurry. I'll post more when I receive the coins! I agree Adam_E, I know that I definitely paid only what it was worth in about worst-case, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
