Honestly, I can't tell. It looks pretty good, but also doesn't at the same time. This is a tough one.

That's great gamble! A normal 1918-D details mid-grade would be right about what you paid ($20-$25). If it is the DDO, you are at least $800-$900 to the good. What's to lose?
